The new TSP contribution limit is 19,000. What’s the amount we should contribute to ensure we receive the maximum agency contribution assuming we are on a biweekly schedule? I’m assuming it should be $730 but wanted to double check.

    Thanks,

I believe it depends on how many paychecks you’ll receive in calendar 2019. Sometimes different pay processors in the federal government may vary, some issuing 26 checks a year and some 27. Your HR office should be providing this information for you, along with an annual reminder about catch-up contributions if you’re over 50…(at least my HR office sends out these emails in December).

For 26 pay periods it’s $731 regular and $231 catchup.
